Hispanic Ministry
On Sunday afternoon June 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Warren Association of Baptists held a Ground Breaking Service for the Nueva Vida Baptist Worship Center. In 2002 Nueva Vida, a Hispanic Mission, was started with four participants, Rev. & Mrs. Gus Reyes and Mr. & Mrs. Gabe Rivera, under the sponsorship of Warren Association of Baptists. It has met for four years in space provided by Forest Park Baptist Church . They have now grown to an average attendance of forty.
This is too large a group to share space with another congregation. Warren Association began to look for another location for them to meet. Larkin Ritter a local construction contractor was informed of this need and donated 6.5 acres of land within walking distance of the largest Hispanic population center in Bowling Green. The Association purchased .56 of an acre to give access to Old Barren River Road. The process thus was begun for a new building to house Nueva Vida Mission.
This building will provide a worship center with multiple worship service times to accommodate the varying work schedules of the Hispanic congregation. It will provide Seminary Extension classes to develop the pastoral and congregational leadership for Hispanic congregations throughout this section of the state of Kentucky . It will provide English as a Second Language classes. It will construct a soccer field for young adults, youth and children of the community. It will provide a “face” for the Hispanic congregation in the entire community. People will know the congregation is present and ministering under the capable leadership of Rev. Jose Luis Espinosa, its second pastor who assumed leadership at the retirement of Rev. Gus Reyes.
This is the continuation of a partnership between the Hispanic congregation and Warren Association of Baptists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through word and deed for many years to come. All the churches of Warren Association have been very supportive through various ministry efforts.

On Sunday afternoon November 12, 2006 at 2:30 p.m., the Inaugural Worship Service was held in the Nueva Vida Mission building. There were over 300 people present to worship and praise God for His faithfulness to His church in the building of a worship center for the Hispanic community.
