Dr. John Mark Toby
Director of Missions
Dr. John Mark Toby has served as the Director of Missions for the Warren Association of Baptists since 2013. He was a Pastor for twenty-seven years and retired as a State Command Chaplain Colonel in the Army National Guard with thirty-six years of service.
He is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands with a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Degree; Luther Rice Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry Degree and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree. He is a Board-Certified Pastoral Counselor and a Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
He served as the President of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and Pastor’s Conference, and First Vice-President of the Southern Baptist Convention. He currently serves as a Trustee, and Adjunct Professor of Missions/Ministry and Leadership Studies at the University of the Cumberlands, and Kenya Baptist Theological College.
He is married to Cathy; and, they have a son, Daniel, who is a graduate of The University of the Cumberlands, a springer spaniel named Sparkey, a black lab named Buddy, and a quarter horse named Max.
Amy Smith
Ministry Assistant
Amy Smith has served the Warren Association of Baptists as Ministry Assistant since August 2003.
She and her husband, Mitchell, have two adult children, a son, Matthew, a daughter-in-law, Crysta, and a daughter, Meagan. Amy and her family are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
